As I began writing on this site and speaking to people regarding tattoo designs for women, I began hearing rumblings from a lot of women my age as to their apprehension with their younger daughters getting tattoos. At what age do you allow your daughter to make that decision? Do we wait until they are eighteen?

It surely makes you wonder. Am I being hypocritical? No…I just don’t want my daughter to make a statement with her body now that she may regret wholeheartedly later. Think back to the time when you were a teenager. I hardly think you would want the ramifications of your decisions made then to be affecting your life today.

Heck, enough of my friends got pregnant and had tough calls to make. While a tattoo is no where near as tough..it is every bit as long lasting.

There are some really fantastic tat artists out there who can design just about anything you can imagine. If you can conceptualize it, there’s a tattoo artist out there who is talented enough to draw it and ink on you. Coming from one whose penmanship is like that of a two year old, I respect the men and women who have chosen to master the art of tattoo creation.

I know that there are many who feel that the human body wasn’t meant to be a canvas. I also know there are some who believe that tattoos may even be sinful. I just don’t buy that. While I respect your feelings, don’t judge us. Don’t look at us as freaks and you know what, I won’t look at you as a crackpot religious zealot!

Check out this quick video and you tell me this isn’t art. I mean this stuff is absolutely beautiful. There is talent in the hands of a good tattoo artist. It’s pretty neat that people can express themselves in this manner. I think we are progressing as a culture. Remember not too long ago when tattoos were hidden and linked to some underground, devil-worshipping side show freaks. It’s funny, my Dad who was a Marine had a tat and a lot of his friends have ink but somehow soldiers were looked at differently.

Society kind of looked the other way on that I guess. Anyway, don’t forget if you want to check out something like a gazillion tattoo’s online so you can get an idea or some inspiration for the tattoo you are going to get or have designed don’t forget to check out the two sites below. Hey, I know it’s tough finding something really unique that speaks to you. I’m not at all an artist. I had a vision but I wanted someplace to start. I needed to be able to look at some designs and see which, if any, jumped off the page and spoke to me.

So I spent hours looking online at collection after collection of tattoos. Some of the design galleeries ahd some really neat stuff but if I’m going to get inked for life, the tat I was going to choose had to grab me. It had to stop me dead in my tracks so I would be forced to say…hey..yeah..that’s it!

Even then I knew I would need to alter it to customize it to what I wanted. So that led me to thinking if I was having this kind of dillemma that other girls were having the same problem. So Cool Tattoo Designs For Women was born!

If you are looking to see some bad a$% designs, check out these two sites. Both of them have linke tons of pics that you can look at. I used these two sites exclusively when looking for my designs.

One is Chopper Tattoo and the other is Tattoo Me Now. There are a lot of competitors out there but save yourself some time and check out these two galleries before you go much further into your search.

There are lots of places for guys to look but for women it’s often an arduous task of finding designs that we can embrace. I created this site to show you where you can find tons of really neat designs.

Many of the designs and tattoo artists that I will feature are providing free tattoo designs as well. But I know many of you will want some form of a custom design as you’re going to have your tattoo more than likely forever.
